PCT 22' Strava journal - Day 21
Silverwood lake - Cajon pass (Mile 328 -342)
Today the PCT goes straight past a Mc Donalds! It's one of the iconic stops hikers have been talking about since we started all the way back in Mexico. Trail is beautiful but I'm only thinking about what I should order. Once at the Mc Donalds it appears that the menu here is different from the one in Europe. They don't have any vegetarian options but I don't care and order a fish burger anyway.
We are exhausted and impulsively decide to stay the night at the Cajon pass Inn (a hotel just across the interstate next to the Mc Donalds). Since we won't make it to Wrightwood before the weekend, Thomas and I get a hitch to pick up our resupply boxes (post offices are closed on Saturday and Sunday). Our driver is a super friendly middle aged man who tells us he has never been outside California. After getting our resupply boxes, he even drives us all the way back to the motel.
At the motel I wash my t-shirt in the sink and that turns out to be the grossest thing I've ever seen (watch the last picture at your own risk).
