PCT 22' Strava journal - Day 44

A first draft:

 

Ride back to trail in the back of a pickup truck. The first miles in the Sierra's are difficult. My legs feel weak and it's hard to adapt to the heavier backpack. I'm hungry and I'm anxious that I didn't pack enough food. On the other hand I am super excited to finally hike into the Sierra's.

We take lunch at the swallow bridge: a footbridge with its underside infested by swallow nests. I'm feeling more energised in the afternoon and we set up camp at a beautiful spot where we meet 'Martin and Stephanie' from Switzerland.
