Beautiful morning climb towards our first mountain pass in the Sierra's (3200 m). I make use of the service connection by calling home. The elevation and the climbing make me extremely hungry and I'm worried I won't have enough food to make it through this section. We walk on the mountain ridge and drop elevation towards Diaz creek where we set up camp.
