We meet Dorine and James at the brewery who convince us to stay yet another night in Mammoth Lakes. Thomas and I decide to slackpack Red meadows to Agnew meadows so we can skip these 8 miles tomorrow. We hike along Devils postpile, a rock formation build of columnar basalt (lava stone) and is considered a geologic wonder.
